The Karoo summers can get to be over 40 degrees Celsius in summer, but as we approach winter – stocking up on firewood – there’s also a bit of dread because we’re a seasonal town, and businesses rely heavily on tourism. During winter it’s a battle to keep going – but we always weather the storm somehow and get through it.
